Mr. Pulver is an Executive with over 17 years of experience in a variety of Industry and Consulting roles, with a unique combination of skills in business unit leadership, strategy and operations consulting, business development, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Prior to helping start IME, Mr. Pulver served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy for Hagemeyer North America (a $1.8B North American division of Sonepar, a $15 B global safety, electrical and industrial distributor). In this capacity, he had financial and strategic responsibility for all three of Hagemeyer’s product segments (Safety, Electrical, and Industrial) covering 41 product categories, 300K+ SKUs, $900M+ in sales, and $120M+ in inventory. Mr. Pulver was one of seven Executive staff members reporting to the North American CEO, and in that role, he led key initiatives in market expansion, category development, product assortment, procurement, marketing, promotions, inventory management, pricing, private label development, and supplier relations. Prior to this role, Mr. Pulver served as Vice President of Industrial Products for Hagemeyer North America – representing over $300M in sales.
Mr. Pulver also has over 10 years of experience as a management consultant, advising Fortune 500 companies on a host of operational and strategic issues facing their businesses. As a consultant, he served clients in a variety of industries including Consumer Packaged Goods, Healthcare, Retail, Safety Product Manufacturing, Industrial Distribution, Telecommunications, Real Estate, and Financial Services. After leaving Deloitte Consulting in 2003, Mr. Pulver helped launch a start-up, venture capital-backed Management Consulting firm. He helped build the company infrastructure, outlined growth and revenue plans, set up the recruiting operation, created and delivered a new hire training program.
Mr. Pulver has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University and a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
